For some reason, gluten free taco seasoning is always twice as much as the regular kind. I have no idea why, because it is so simple to make! This recipe is also paleo and Whole30 compliant if you use a grain free starch like tapioca or arrowroot.

Ingredients

Scale

2 TBS chili powder

2 tsp cumin

2 tsp starch (corn, tapioca, potato, or arrowroot)

1 tsp paprika

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp dried oregano

Instructions

  1. Pour all ingredients into an airtight container like a mason jar and shake until thoroughly combined.
  2. Brown the ground beef and drain. Add water and taco seasoning and cook until thickened.
  3. For 1 lb of ground beef, use 1.5 TBS of seasoning and 2/3 cup of water. Adjust the amount of seasoning to taste.

Notes

You can store in an airtight container on the counter for about a month, or you can put it in freezer where it is good for up to 6 months.
