How To: Make Ground Chicken

It blew my mind when I learned how incredibly easy it is to make ground chicken. Have a food processor? You can make your own ground chicken!

Need to get a food processor? If you can afford it, the Cuisinart 14 cup food processor will work for you for decades. It is a powerful little machine. Be warned, though! It is heavy. On a budget? The Hamilton Beach one has a smaller engine and smaller blades, but it will get most jobs done.

Ground chicken is stupid expensive given how easy it is to make. When I looked it up today, 1 pound of ground chicken averaged around $7. 1 pound of boneless, skinless chicken thighs only averages $4. Once I learned this trick, I never bought ground chicken from the store again!

As long as the chicken has no bones, all you have to do is put it in the food processor and run it for about 8-10 minutes. I usually stop it and stir twice during that time. That is IT! I know, amazing right?
